Mexican Chocolate Pie with Gingersnap Crust

The husband is a cake and cream pie person in a fruit pie family.  Apple pie, rhubarb pie, and, in my brother’s case, cherry pie are the most common birthday dessert requests.  He doesn’t think fruit belongs in dessert.  (Except a mysterious exception is granted to peach cobbler.) Around the holidays, apple, pumpkin, & pecan pies are of course making frequent appearances at the extended family gatherings.  I.E. Lots of non-cream pies and certainly no cake. With the big day less than a week away… I’m putting alllll my favorite Thanksgiving ready recipes in one place – this post. Its feels like a pretty perfunctory blogger thing to do. But, I love reading recipe round-ups on other bloggers’ sites.  I get ideas from those posts all the time!  Since you are here, we probably have at least food in common.  So, here you go: a collection of my favorite Thanksgiving appetizers, salads, vegetarian sides, and desserts!
