Coconut Lime Cookie and Fro-Yo Sandwiches

Six years ago this morning, I was sitting in hair salon chairs with my best friend sipping coffee through a straw having my hair done for my wedding, nervously checking ferry wait times, and stressing about my half-memorized vows. Six years ago today, I said “I do” to the guy who still makes me laugh until I cry and is every bit as kind, smart, and wonderful as I thought when we jumped into this crazy adventure.  There is no one else I would want to do life with. Yesterday, we boarded a plane for Kauai.  The same island we went to on our honeymoon 6 years ago.  We are…

Girls Night in 5: Cantaloupe Piña Colada

Girls’ Night in 5 is a monthly “how-to” series containing Girls’ Night friendly recipes with 5 or fewer ingredients and no more than 5 minutes of active prep!  This series is part of my mission to simplify entertaining to encourage readers to invest in their community through hosting and loving people well. Again, I’m mentally prepping for…

Summer Road Trippin’: Oven Dried Strawberry Trail Mix

Did everyone have a wonderful 4th of July???  I hope so!  We rolled it all into a 4 day weekend and went out to our fam’s cabin.  Was great to relax but if anyone lives in Eastern Washington or northern Idaho… How are you all surviving the pollen in the air right now???  I wouldn’t describe any of us as being allergy prone and yet, we all felt like we were in foggy-headed allergy comas! Regardless, I did lots of reading in a hammock, hiking, and cooking over a campfire! But, to get to the cabin, we had a very looooong car ride.  6+ hours.  Long car rides mean car…
