My Favorite Recipes of 2017
2017 was quite a year for the hubs and I. Things we expected to happen didn’t. Things we didn’t expect, did. I believe this is what they call L-I-F-E, folks. And it never ceases to surprise me.
For real, 2017 was a year of both challenges and rewards! In hindsight, I am immensely grateful for those challenges and closed doors, but in the moment, I would have answered differently. While I still hold the specific details close, the hubs and I were floored by the love, support, and rallying of our friends and family. This past year proved that friends truly can be family! And, hoy cow, were they incredible! When it felt my prayers were falling on deaf ears or my spirit too broken, our friends rallied. They showed up! My mental health for the first half of 2017 is a testament to their support!
Every year has its struggles, and the first bit of 2017 was a doozy. Thats not to say 2017 was a bad year! It certainly wasn’t! The growth this little site of mine has seen over the past year is incredible to me! I am so-so grateful and want to continue to make AlmostProperly.com better, more navigable, and providing you with quality content! I have big plans (and goals!) for the site in 2018. I so very appreciate you following along!!

….An unexpected move to a super fun neighborhood! I’ll be sharing more details and a tour of our 100+ year-old house soon-ish (Optimistically, January, but lets be real, probably February!) You guys, I am excited to show off how freaking talented the hubs is at making what I imagine in my head into reality! That boy is crazy skilled.

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2018! Earlier this week, I posted the top recipes of 2017 based on “the stats.” Of course, I was surprised by some of the recipes making the list, but I was FLOORED to see a roasted brussel sprout recipe steal the top spot again!
So, I wanted to share my own top 10 list of the year! When I planned this post, it sounded like a great idea. Easy peasy, I thought. A couple of top contenders came to mind immediately, but I didn’t expect narrowing it down to be so dang hard. Cutting a few of my favorites out of the top 10 felt like chopping off a limb! This handmade pumpkin pasta is tossed with sage and pecan olive oil and it is out of control good. This was one of our very favorite fall dinners this year.
