Mother’s Day Tea: Shortbread Cookies

Yesterday, I posted the Lavender London Fog Lattes for Mother’s Day tea.  I suggested making them with my favorite Earl Grey tea!  But, we all know that even know “tea” is in the name, every good tea party needs something to nibble on.  I’m thinking nothing is more classic than Shortbread Cookies!  Plus, I have a thing for melt-in-your-mouth shortbread cookies. If you love shortbread cookies, too. These are money. Wow, that adjective does not belong in a post about afternoon tea, but I’m leaving it there so you don’t think I’m getting all high-brow with posts about tea parties and such;) Mmmmmmm, classic buttery shortbread.  These are so easy to…

Mother’s Day Tea: Lavender London Fog Latte

Nothing is more classic than mother’s day tea.  Brunch may get all the hype, but no one can argue with a good-old-fashioned mother’s day tea party.  And why would they?  Its a fun, girly thing to do! So, I wanted to create an earth-toned palate (table covering, wood-slice, and vase) with a few pops of color (flowers and table runner).  Simple but bright. I outline all of the items I used below, but I have to tell you about this table runner really quickly!  Plus, it would make…

This post is part of the “What to make for Mother’s Day” series.  This post is part 2 of a 2 part Mediterranean feast tutorial.  You can find part 1: Moroccan Chicken and Roasted Onions here.  Now that we have our Moroccan chicken and roasted onions in the works… we can get on to the fun part!!  Because who doesn’t love a good interactive meal with lots of fixings and sauces to try?!  And, in case it wasn’t clear, I’m banking on no one. So, I strongly suggest making all 3 of the sauces!  The ingredients in each sauce overlap so its not like you need any wonky ingredients for…
