Mexican Chocolate Pie with Gingersnap Crust

The husband is a cake and cream pie person in a fruit pie family.  Apple pie, rhubarb pie, and, in my brother’s case, cherry pie are the most common birthday dessert requests.  He doesn’t think fruit belongs in dessert.  (Except a mysterious exception is granted to peach cobbler.) Around the holidays, apple, pumpkin, & pecan pies are of course making frequent appearances at the extended family gatherings.  I.E. Lots of non-cream pies and certainly no cake. During our first Thanksgiving as newlyweds, I was tasked with pies.  My plan was apple and pumpkin (even I hate pecan).  The hubs was having none of this fruit pie non-sense, so he decided…

Christmas shopping is hard.  I do my best to support local small businesses, but I don’t know what I would do without the internet.  Fight traffic or buy it online for the same price or better?  No-brainer.
