I wish all introductions like these were over a pot of tea, but, nonetheless, welcome!
My name is Maria. I grew up in a large, loud, Italian family full of personality, love, and food. A few years back, the man of my dreams unexpectedly swept me off my feet. We married, bought a 100 year-old bungalow with a myriad of old house issues and a really huge kitchen.
To go along with the big kitchen, I have an adventurous palate, a passion for preparing delicious (mostly healthy) meals, and a large community of friends and family with which to share them. The introvert in me would like to show up at someone else’s potluck and hide my dish in the back, but that is just not our reality. This blog is where I share some of these recipes. My hope is that you will use them, share them, and, most importantly, use what you prepare to bless your people.
I am passionate about food, all children deserving families, meaningful conversation, Jesus, and fostering community, no matter where you are planted. Small talk is not my strong suit, but I am happy to delve in on human rights, quality ingredients, dogs, hikes, beaches, yoga, or what you are reading. But here, as with most get-togethers, it’s mostly about the food!
I’m so glad you are here. I would love to hear from you!
